BEVERLY HILTON
I was born in the Beautiful Island of Jamaica. I migrated to the USA in the mid-seventies. I lived in California and New York; I finally found my home here in North Miami. I have been a resident in the city of North Miami from
February 1997 to present.
My Vision for North Miami- District 4:
Modernizing our Parks: Creating better, more modern parks
Job Creation: Providing job opportunities to strengthen our workforce.
Public Safety: Setting a better budget for our police and fire
departments to ensure our safety.
Sustainable Growth: Enhancing infrastructure and development to
support a striving community.
Economic Development: Attracting investors to develop District 4 and
North Miami areas; bringing in more restaurants, stores, and nightlife
to encourage both residents and visitors to spend more time here.
Together, we can make North Miami a better place to live, work and
play. With your support, I will use my experiences in business, in
community activism to achieve these realistic goals as your future
councilwoman for District 4. Thanks for your trust and support.
After serving the city of North Miami’s residents as the President and
founder of Alhambra Heights Homeowners Association and Youth
Crime Prevention; I am the Founder, CEO and manager of the
Challenger School; a community Activist/Social worker and I also
worked with North Miami Police Department as their Crime Prevention
Coordinator.
North Miami! I am ready, and I am committed to leading District 4
forward with unity, integrity and innovation. I will continue to work
toward improving public safety and economic growth that will improve
the quality of life for all residents. Let’s talk about QUALITY of life for a
moment.
As I walked through the neighborhoods, knocking on doors, and asking
for votes, I also noticed that many of our homeowners did not have a
Air conditioner unit. The temperature this summer is in the triple digits;
let’s stop the wasteful spending; $10,800 trip to Spain; $100,000
festival for friends; over 1-million dollars went into social un-necessary
spending; And use those funds toward making sure every single
resident without an AC unit has one in their home for the next summer
One of the homes I knocked on, a lady was sitting behind the screen at
her front door partially naked from the waist up, she had her hands
over her chest. She said it was too hot; I have no AC; Quality of life; So
many families enduring the soldering heat this summer. Every tax
paying homeowner should have an AC unit, I will work towards making
that happen.
